More than 680 people packed the hall to see one of Australia’s biggest musical exports deliver a floorboard-shaking set.

INXS dished up a never-ending smorgasbord featuring Need You Tonight, Suicide Blonde, Mystify, Original Sin, Beautiful Girl and Never Tear Us Apart.

When the group did throw a new song into the mix, it was created from the same funk, dance and new wave foundations as its old hits.

Fronting the weatherbeaten rockers was new front man Ciaran Gribbin.

Replicating the electrifying stage presence of original front man Michael Hutchence is an intimidating task, but Gribbin was faultless.

The Northern Irishman’s soaring vocals and sultry looks had the female folk in a frenzy.
